Below are eight sheets of "General Service" ad mats produced by New York's Theatre Ad Mat Service, spanning from September to December, 1929. These hand-drawn mats would be clipped and along with copy sent to the local newspaper. These pages were found in the Atlanta Fox, but for the most part the mats are generic. For instance, the first page below contains mats for all four competing newsreel services, Fox Movietone, Hearst Metrotone, Paramount News, and Pathe.
Yet on a further page, Fanchon & Marco stage shows are featured, which at the point were exclusive to Fox Theatres.
